Founded in 1962, Hockley & Dawson has over sixty years of experience specialising in the sensitive repair and conservation of historic buildings, prestigious houses, and important structures.

The practice combines an understanding of traditional construction methods and craftsmanship with modern or traditional techniques and materials. This approach allows for sympathetic detailing and repair, with an emphasis on minimum intervention.

Current and recently completed projects range from multi-million-pound redevelopment and refurbishment of historic commercial sites to minor structural alterations and the conservation of important historic buildings.

Hockley & Dawson has always had a reputation for giving careful attention to the form, design, and detail of the structural solutions presented to its clients. Over the years, this has been officially recognised through the presentation of Awards and Commendations, the first of which was awarded in 1967.
